- A typical 5-chapter storybook with illustrations and a cover takes 60–90 seconds to generate. The flipbook + PDF download is ready instantly afterwards. Custom regeneration of individual illustrations or chapter titles takes another ~5 seconds each.
- Yes — completely. You retain full commercial and personal rights to the storybooks you create. You can sell them on our Marketplace, print them, gift them, or use them however you like. We never take ownership of user-generated content.
- Storybooks can be authored in 16 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese. The reader UI is fully localised in each.
- Yes — every Title, Theme, and Main Characters field on the create page has a microphone button. Speak in any of the supported languages and our AI polishes the dictation into a clean storybook field. You can always switch back to the verbatim transcript if the polish overshoots.

Every storybook is triple-checked child-safe: (1) pre-generation moderation by Gemini 2.5 Flash, (2) persona-aligned generation tuned to Grandma Jayshree's warm voice, (3) human admin review before any book appears in the marketplace. The reading experience itself (large flipbook, gentle narration, no ads, no external links) is designed for under-5 attention spans.
How many books can I create per month?
Starter & Premium includes 5-30 storybooks per month by plan, and for Legendary is unlimited. Every new user gets the 1st Book free with no credit card required - so you can try Build Your Book magic before you pick a plan.
Does Build Your Book support Hindi storybooks?
Yes — Hindi is one of our 16 native languages. Stories are written natively in Devanagari (not machine-translated), illustrated with culturally anchored characters and settings, and narrated by an Indian-English-trained AI voice. We also support Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi and Urdu the same way.
Can I sell my AI-generated storybooks on the marketplace?
Yes. Once a book passes our Triple-Checked Child-Safe review, you can list it on the Build Your Book Marketplace at a price you set. Every sale credits your creator wallet (INR or USD), and you keep ownership of the book — you can keep selling, gift it, or take it off the marketplace any time.
How do I gift a Build Your Book storybook?
You can buy any marketplace storybook directly as a gift — at checkout, choose "Gift this book", enter the recipient's email, and Build Your Book emails them a personalised gift link with the cover, your message, and one-tap access to read, listen, or download as MP4/PDF.
What payment methods does Build Your Book accept?
